Education is a key component in creating a safe and inclusive space everywhere in Sacramento. To the Gender Health Center, it is clear that there is a profound necessity in bringing people to where we are at so that we can work together in order to revolutionize our city. The harmful experiences that Transgender people - and especially Transgender People of Color experience are heavily informed by misinformation, fear, ignorance and a complete mischaracterization of who we all are. These ideas and incorrect lines of thought require a process of unlearning and decolonization.
