Web-Based Training
Essential Practices for Inclusive Care: Fostering Belonging for Diverse Trans, Non-Binary, and Intersex Patients is the Gender Health Center’s flagship training program, designed to meet California's SB923 training requirements for health plans and medical systems. The curriculum is built upon a foundation of best practices in the provision of care of TGNC persons. Our interactive learning experience equips healthcare professionals with actionable strategies to improve access and quality of care for transgender, gender non-conforming, and intersex patients/clients across identity intersections. Participants gain practical tools and examples to foster greater belonging, improve patient engagement, and create more welcoming environments in both clinical and community settings.
Group Facilitation & Teaching
At the Gender Health Center, our dedicated team delivers dynamic in-person and virtual workshops focused on developing comprehensive, affirming, and transformative care for transgender and nonbinary people. We've collaborated with nonprofits, corporations, school districts, and government agencies to offer transformative trainings that cultivate truly inclusive practices. Our facilitators, who are ethnically diverse and identify as trans, nonbinary, or part of the expansive gender spectrum, bring lived expertise in fostering environments of belonging. As psychologists, educators, licensed mental health professionals, and community advocates, we are committed to delivering impactful, authentic learning experiences that promote the well-being, joy, and healing of our communities!
