We Are a Professional Training Clinic

At the Gender Health Center, our team of graduate student trainees, associate clinicians, and doctoral interns provide affirming, healing-centered mental health care rooted in Queer-Informed Narrative Therapy and applications of Liberation Psychology.

 

Supervised by licensed mental health professionals, they offer compassionate support in a welcoming space that honors your story, identities, and lived experience.

FREE Counseling for
Los Rios District Students

Our Partnership with Los Rios Community College District (LRCCD) allows for free counseling services available to LRCCD registered students.

All counseling services for active students of Los Rios Community College District are provided by Flo Oliveira (they/them) Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #142430). Flo Oliveira is clinically supervised by Florence Soares-Dabalos (#LMFT40331).

Mental Health Support

At Gender Health Center, our counseling services are designed to provide affirming, compassionate care that acknowledges the complexities of identity and lived experience.

 

We understand how crucial it is to have a safe space where you can process, heal, and grow without judgment. Whether you are navigating transition, family dynamics, relationship concerns, or the weight of societal pressures, our counseling team is here to support you every step of the way.

What to Know Before You Come

Proper color masks

Masks are required and provided for all in-person sessions.

As a community member in our care, you will be treated with dignity and respect no matter your age, race, gender identity or expression, attractional orientation, clothing, involvement in sex trade or street economy, drug use, or current housing status. Also, no one is turned away based on an inability to pay.

ELIGIBILITY

  • All are welcome!

  • Folks are not guaranteed they will receive drop-in services from the same counselor each time they request drop-in counseling.​​​

  • Folks are eligible for one (1) drop-in counseling session per week​​​.

  • Drop-in appointments are based on a first come, first serve basis.​

  • $0 - $25 per session
