Course Description:
This introductory level course virtual workshop introduces the African-centered NTU™ Psychotherapy Framework, exploring its foundational characteristics, assumptions, and 4 core principles. Participants will examine the distinction between self-care and self-preservation, with attention to their spiritual and professional dimensions.
Through reflection and practical application, clinicians will identify self-preservation practices grounded in NTU™ principles that support personal and professional sustainability, reduce the risk of burnout, and strengthen the therapeutic resources they bring to their work with clients and communities.
Course Objectives:
Describe and discuss the basic characteristics, assumptions, and principles of the NTU™ Psychotherapy Framework (Phillips, 1990; Gregory & Harper, 2001)
