HORMONE CLINIC

Hormone Clinic is twice a month (by appointment only)

HORMONE PRESCRIPTION CLINIC

Gender Health Center runs a free/donation based Hormone Prescription clinic in collaboration with the UC Davis School of Medicine and UC Davis Family Practice. GHC is NOT a medical facility and we cannot provide any primary care services. The clinic is run by 1st & 2nd year medical students under the supervision of licensed family practitioners.

  • GHC also provides a social space for community members to connect at during clinic while they wait to be seen.

  • PReP Prescriptions

  • Free legal health advocacy is also provided for those who are having issues with insurance or other healthcare related issues (provided by LSNC)

The hormone clinic provides services to community members who would otherwise not have access to medication, however, we do not turn anyone away (hormones are prescribed on a case-by-case basis, following current WPATH standards of care and an informed consent model). Our interdisciplinary team centers around meeting every patient’s health advocacy needs, like getting access to health coverage, a primary care provider and attaining any other medical transition goals.

Due to the nature of the clinic being held only twice a month and it being a free/donation based service, the clinic is extremely impacted. New patients to the clinic can expect a 2-3 month wait to be seen. We understand that this isn’t the timeliest circumstance, but our health advocates are here to work with you to help you potentially get connected to care in a primary care setting. Patients can begin seeking care with us at 16 with parental or guardian consent.
