UC Davis School of Medicine
Student Run Clinic
The Gender Health Center is a partner clinic of UC Davis School of Medicine. Our patients are seen by UC Davis medical students, Family Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant students, Family Medicine Resident Physicians, and Attending Physicians. All medical students are under the supervision of licensed family practitioners. All provide services on a voluntary basis.
This clinic specializes in providing healthcare services to the LGBTQIA+ community, with a particular emphasis on transgender health. It offers a non-judgmental, affirming, and supportive setting for people throughout their medical transition journeys. Furthermore, the health clinic provides essential medications and services to community members who may otherwise lack access. We primarily serve uninsured or underinsured community members.
Because our clinic operates just twice a month and is powered entirely by community support and donations, there may be a wait time of 2-3 months for new patients to get their first appointment. We know waiting for care can be hard — you deserve support now! While you wait, our Community Support Services team is here for you. We can help connect you with affirming primary care providers, resources, and other community supports to help you get your needs met in the meantime.
GHC is not a medical facility and we do not provide any primary care services.
