Welcome to Gender Fabulous, the Gender Health Center’s official blog!

Hi fam, we’re so happy you stopped by to check out our new blog. We created this space to keep you in the loop and to remind you that you are a critical part of our community. Here’s where we’ll share all the amazing things happening at GHC, community care, trans joy, real stories, and the advocacy work that keeps us pushing forward. Whether it’s a healing circle, a legislative fight, or a reflection from one of our own, Gender Fabulous is where we keep you close, grounded, and informed.

2025 NorCal AIDS Cycle

Our team (Team Ladybug 🐞 - AKA Team Theydbugz) will be riding out for the 2025 NorCal AIDS Cycle. Over 4 days, cyclists will cover nearly 300 miles across the Sacramento region, all to raise critical funds for local HIV/AIDS service organizations, including Gender Health Center. This ride is a critical lifeline to so many in our community. It helps keep essential programs like PrEP and PEP access, HIV testing, counseling, and harm reduction services available to our community, especially Black and Brown trans folks who are so often left behind in public health funding. Through this ride, we will carry the stories of our ancestors who died alone and rejected during the height of the HIV AIDS epidemic; We ride in honor of those we lost. We ride for those living with HIV. And we ride so the next generation has more support, safety, and care than we did.

We’re just $560 away from our fundraising goal, and we’ve got until Friday to get there. Let’s finish strong, together...  You can support the ride by grabbing some of our limited-edition GHC merch; all proceeds go right back into our programs.

Transition Through the Eyes of Love: A Trans Artist Showcase

This is part of our ongoing commitment to Gender Joy & Wellness. On June 6th, 2025 at the GHC, you’ll hear from six incredible trans and gender diverse artists sharing personal explorations of transition and healthcare navigation through painting, performance, and storytelling. In a time of erasure, this space insists on visibility, creativity, and truth.

The Gender Euphoria Boutique

The Gender Euphoria Boutique is our all-gender, all-style, all-love closet space at GHC. Whether you’re trying on your first binder, looking for the perfect jeans, or grabbing a new wig to step into your full glory, this boutique is here to help you shine. From affirming garments to everyday fits, it’s all free and lovingly organized for our trans, nonbinary, and gender-diverse fam. You deserve to be celebrated and feel fabulous, and that’s exactly why this space exists. To shop the boutique, please make an appointment with our Community Support Services Team.

We’re planting something here, a space to show up fully as ourselves, share what's happening in the world, and document the joy and struggle of being trans in this world. Gender Fabulous stands as a sanctuary for our stories, a celebration of our victories, an acknowledgment of the harms we face, and a powerful reminder that trans joy, care, and community are powerful forms of resistance.
